Munising Hockey Association
The Munising Hockey Association provides young athletes with opportunities to learn, grow, and develop through the game of hockey. Our programs focus on building fundamental skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence, and a strong understanding of the game in a positive and supportive environment.
We encourage our players to work hard, have fun, and build lasting friendships both on and off the ice.

Learn-to-Skate Recommendation: Players who are 6–8 years old and have successfully completed one year of Learn-to-Skate are encouraged to register for the 8U Mites program to continue developing their skating and hockey skills in a game-based environment.

Step 1: Register with USA Hockey
All players must first complete their annual registration with USA Hockey and obtain a valid USA Hockey Registration Number before registering with Munising Hockey.
Once you have received your USA Hockey Registration Number, you may proceed with the Munising Hockey registration process.

Children ages 4 and up are welcome to join the Munising Hockey Association!
In accordance with USA Hockey age classification guidelines, players are placed in the appropriate age division to ensure a safe, fair, and developmentally appropriate experience for all participants.

Season Schedule
Registration for the Munising Hockey season opens each September. On-ice practices typically begin in October, and the season runs through March of the following year.
Most teams practice twice per week, with games and tournaments scheduled throughout the season. Practice and game schedules may vary by age division.

ALL PLAYERS - A completed USA Hockey Consent to Treat/Medical History Form is required for every player registered for the current season. Please complete and upload the form during the registration process.

Extra Costs
Volunteer Requirement: Choose one option: $250 Volunteer Buyout (paid at registration), or Volunteer Commitment. If volunteer/fundraising requirements are not completed, a $250 fee will be charged on March 1.
Additional Costs: Team apparel, team events, additional tournaments, State Tournament fees (if applicable), 8U Jamboree baskets, and all travel, lodging, and meal expenses.
Players not registered with the Munising Hockey Association may be responsible for additional tournament fees.

Depending on player registration numbers and age divisions, some teams may be formed in partnership with neighboring hockey associations through co-op programs. These partnerships help provide full team rosters, maximize player development opportunities, and ensure a competitive and enjoyable hockey experience for all participants.
